Black Pearl Global Opportunity Fund (BPGOF)

BPGOF is an aggressive multi-strategy hedge fund that runs a concentrated portfolio of diverse positions. The Fund has a bias towards an event driven strategy with a market overlay to take advantage of the current high volatility. The Fund trades FX, equities, OTC and listed options, market and commodity futures. As the name suggests, the Fund is opportunistic in nature and will also utilize leverage for short-term trades and overlays.

Black Pearl Capital Partners (BPCP)

BPCP is the first in a series of private equity funds raised by Black Pearl Capital to take advantage of opportunities in various industry sectors. The fund invests in global growth sectors and distressed situations where it can add value. Onyx MENA Fund

The Onyx MENA Fund was launched in July 2007 to focus on Middle East and North African regional equities adding a short and derivative strategy to the existing long only funds available at the time. Since the launch of the Fund, many other firms launched MENA based Hedge Funds. In late February 2009, and although Onyx was one of the best performing funds, the directors decided to liquidate the fund given market conditions. The market turmoil caused a wide spread on OTC options and ended the limited inventory of equities one could short. This made it impossible to continue with the stated strategy of the Fund.
